A display font with a calligraphic base, Pirouetteís most striking feature is the double lines used in its capital letter lineup. Because a thick line and thin line version are also available, users can layer the fonts and color each layer differently. The font family consists of Regular, Separate-1, Separate-2, Text, Alternate & Ligature, and Ornament.
Pirouette won 1st prize in the display category of the International Type Design Contest held by Linotype in 2003, and was released for sale the next year in 2004. 2006 saw the sales release of Pirouette Com Regular, a new version equipped with OpenType functionality.
